Sprints have sticky notes — but some ideas need a whiteboard. Starting today, LetRetro adds freeform Canvas boards: a collaborative infinite canvas for drawing, diagramming, and brainstorming alongside your retro boards.

How it works

• Infinite canvas — Draw shapes, arrows, text, and sticky notes on a limitless canvas. Perfect for flowcharts, architecture sketches, and impromptu design sessions
• Real-time collaboration — See teammates' cursors as they draw, and watch edits appear instantly with live presence and synchronized changes
• Comment pins — Leave comments on any spot of the canvas. Pins open threaded discussions that you can resolve and delete, with mentions that notify teammates
• Handwriting font — Canvas text renders in a natural handwriting font so sticky notes and sketches feel like a real whiteboard
• Export & download — Download your canvas as an image to share with your team or attach to a ticket
• Keyboard shortcuts — Switch tools fast (V, R, A, T, and more) and see the full list any time with ?
• Offline-friendly — Edits are cached locally, so you keep working even on a flaky connection and sync when you're back

How to enable it

Canvas boards are available alongside retro boards:

1. From the dashboard, click New Board and choose Canvas
2. Invite your team and start drawing
3. Click anywhere to drop a comment pin and start a thread

Canvas boards work like retro boards when it comes to sharing — public, private, or password-protected. Free plans can have up to 1 canvas board, and Pro supports up to 10.
